My job is to help St. Francis students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I work together with students, families, school staff, and community resources to identify and reduce barriers to students' learning. I believe that all people do better when we feel better. Children succeed when they are seen as the whole, complex people that they are, and when they can access the safety and support necessary to take risks. We all have a role to play in creating the kind of loving culture where this is true! My services include:
- Individual student support with academic planning, goal setting, and problem solving
- Short-term counseling for students, individually and in small groups (weekly or biweekly counseling sessions that require caregiver consent)
- Consultation with families seeking mental health support
- Classroom lessons on topics related to school success, social-emotional wellbeing, and college and career readiness
I am just one part of the whole at St. Francis, providing a Christ-centered education that empowers students to reach their full potential- spiritually, intellectually, emotionally, socially, and morally.
