Financial Aid Information
for the 2024-2025 School Year
Application Window:  October 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023

St. Francis of Assisi School is committed to providing access to students from all socio-economic backgrounds. If tuition assistance is needed, St. Francis of Assisi has extensive need-based awards for grades K-8.

Families must apply each year through the FACTS Grant & Aid portal to qualify for both the Fulcrum and St. Francis of Assisi School tuition assistance grants—all awards are made based on financial need.  Re-enrolling families need to re-apply each year.  Typically, financial applications are open October 1st to December 31st for the following school year.  Keep in mind the school office is closed over Christmas Break and we want to help, so Dec 20th is our internal deadline to assist you.

The following grants are available through the FACTS Grant & Aid portal:

1. Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Grant Program

Fulcrum Foundation
The Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Grant Program (linked) is designed for families and students currently enrolled or applying for the next school year in any Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Seattle.  Awards from Fulcrum are only considered if your financial aid application is submitted between October 1st to December 31st for the following school year.  FACTS Grant & Aid Application (linked)

2. St. Francis of Assisi (STFOA) Tuition Assistance Grant ProgramSt. Francis of Assisi black and red logo

STFOA Tuition Assistance Grant is funded primarily by our incredible donors to our Annual School Fund.  STFOA aid is awarded to families based on need and availability of funds in order to make our school programs accessible.  The STFOA Tuition Assistance Committee screens financial needs based on the FACTS Grant & Aid Application (same application as Fulcrum Grant - linked).

Please complete the application by December 31st for consideration in the following school year.  Requests for tuition assistance received after December 31st will be awarded based on need and funds available on a case-by-case basis.

For newly admitted students, financial aid applications are due March 1st for STFOA aid consideration.  For these exceptions, if the Fulcrum application is closed (after December 31st), please acknowledge and continue submitting the application.

Who can apply for a Fulcrum Tuition Assistance Grant?
Anyone currently enrolled in a Catholic school or intending to enroll in a Catholic school may apply.

Important information regarding your FACTS application:
  • Application Fee:
    • Each family will pay a $35.00 fee to FACTS to apply for tuition assistance. The $35.00 fee covers all applications for one year.
    • Families use one single application: Elementary and high school students at multiple schools are all included in one application.
  • Application Process:
    • All required financial documents (IRS tax documents and W-2’s) must be uploaded to the application. This is a “paperless” application.
    • To strengthen your application, clearly explain reasons for needing assistance and any extenuating circumstances, if applicable.  This step is very important.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need help with the financial aid application process.
