This is a full high school course, and eighth-grade students who complete it successfully can expect to continue with algebra 2/trigonometry as they enter their first year of high school (depending on the specific policies and mathematics course progression of each specific school). In this course, students will start to formalize experiences with geometry from preceding academic years as they explore congruence, similarity, right triangles, circles, the expression of geometric properties with equations, and geometric measurements and dimensions.
