AUCTION VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  It takes a village (or an entire St. Francis community) to put on our annual Silent and Live Auctions! Please consider helping by volunteering in one of these remote and/or in-person positions currently available:  SIGN UP HERE.  Descriptions of immediate needs are below.  More positions will be added in the coming months, especially for jobs to set up or work at the auction.  All hours worked are counted towards your Fundraising Volunteer Requirements. Thank you! We couldn't do this without your continued support!  TO SIGN UP - USE THIS LINK HERE.  Please email Amy & Dianna at auction@stfoa.org with any questions.
Mid-October through December, work to be completed from home.  We are looking for 5-6 detail-oriented people to help with entering the Procurement data into our Auction Tracker cloud database.  Procurement forms received each week will be shared amongst the 5-6 volunteers for data entry.  Requires access to a laptop or desktop with WiFi capability.  Hours will vary each week, with expectation of 1 hour or less per week in October, and up to 3 hours weekly in December.
December through January, work to be completed from home.  Do you have a flair for writing or are one who notices grammar mistakes in people’s emails?  Then this is the job for you!  We are looking for 4-5 individuals who will edit the descriptions of each of the Silent Auction procurement items to ensure they are grammatically correct, have complete information, and a photo attached.  For many items, this means that you will be emailing with the donors to get a photo or more information about their donated item.  Requires access to a laptop or desktop with WiFi. Expect 1-2 hours per week.
December and January.  We are looking for 2-4 individuals to help with creating our Fund-a-Need video.  This is a video story which includes clips of STFOA students that is played at the Live Auction Gala during the Fund-a-Need portion of our evening to raise money for our targeted cause.  These individuals will help create and/or solicit video clips of students according to the storyline.  No editing of the video clips is required, as we have a partner who will be editing for us.  Volunteers in this role will need to meet the STFOA Volunteer Requirements (fully vaccinated, background check, and VIRTUS Safe Environment class completed), as campus visits will be necessary. 1-2 hours per week.
October – January.  Need 2-3 volunteers to help solicit ad purchases for our Live Auction catalog.  This is a virtual/remote position that will meet twice a month to plan and provide updates.  Involves preparing communications to STFOA families through various channels (social media, email, newsletter, etc.) as well as business solicitations (virtually).  1-2 hours per week.
December – January.  We are looking for 3 individuals to be on our Live Auction Catalog writing team.  This is a remote position that can be done from home.  These volunteers will be editing the content of our Live Auction Items for our catalog, which may include grammar editing or changing the tone of the content.  Will include email communications with the donors to solicit more information about the item and photos.
January – February.  We need 1 person who is confident in PowerPoint software to create a slide show of our Live Auction Items.  This slide show will include a separate slide for each Live Auction item that includes a photo and a description (templates of previous years’ presentations will be provided).  This is displayed on the screens during the Live Auction portion of the evening.  1-2 hours per week, remote.
November – December.  We are looking for a team of 3-5 individuals to work together to brainstorm and prepare our Live Auction Gala raffles, games, and sign-up offerings.  This team will meet twice a month over Zoom to brainstorm and select a few different raffles and games to be offered at our Live Auction Gala, and handle the details of preparing for those items.  In addition, they will work with the Auction Chairs to come up with and solicit Sign-up events and offerings available at the Silent & Live Auctions.  1-2 hours per week, remote.
