After School Clubs

  SPRING After School Club Schedule
After School Art.  Art camps are coordinated by our art program teacher, Dani Meyers, and meet on Tuesdays.  Students explore using drawing, painting and crafting skills, creating special projects they do not otherwise do during the regular school day.  There are 4 sessions, and themes include canvas painting, sculpture, cartooning, and an open studio.  Please see the sign up flyer found HERE and under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
 
Art - Drawing Atelier.  Multiple sessions will be offered on Thursdays, 3-4:30pm.  These classes are for 3rd-8th grade and are designed for those who love to draw.  Students will learn classical drawing (intermediate to advanced techniques will be taught) to improve their drawing skills.  Please see the sign up flyer found HERE and under Students & Parents, Forms & Links
Pokemon Club.  Learn from the best at our STFOA club ... we have one of the nation's best players teaching the kids!  The club meets on Wednesdays in the Art room, and is year-round; students can join or leave on a monthly basis.  Please complete the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Outdoor Adventures Club.  LOVE being outside, exploring, free-play and learning outdoor skills?  This club meets on Thursdays at Seahurst Park, and is lead by Kevin "Porcupine" O'Malley of South Sound Nature School.  Class is limited to 15 participants in 1-5th grades, and begins on March 1st.  If you'd like to volunteer and accompany our teacher on our adventures, your child can participate for FREE!  For registration or  additional information, see the After School Nature program HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Gardening Club.  IS FULL!  Introducing our NEW gardening club with Farmer Frog -- where we grow our own vegetable garden!  This program is focused on introducing students to the basics of growing food as well as the science and broad knowledge that comes with it.  We'll begin inside at the end of January prepping our seeds, and will move outside as soon as weather permits.  This club is open to K-8th grade students, and is on Wednesdays. Drama Club -- Improvisation.  Directed by the wonderful Hi-Liners, our students have an opportunity to learn and grow in their performing and communication skills.  This club meets on Wednesdays in Parish Hall, and is open to 2-6th grades.  This is a great way for older students to prepare for the school play auditions next year!  Please complete the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Tae Kwon Do Club.  Get your wiggles out & join 4th Degree Black Belt and Master Instructor of TaeKwonDo, Chris Himor, for this Monday afternoon club.  This is open to grades 1-5, and meets in Unity Place.  Please complete the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Hand-Crafting Clubs.  Our great instructor, Anne Davis, is back to teach a variety of crafts that would make great gifts and keepsakes.  Cross stitch, jewelry, terrariums, soap making, memo boards, and fairy houses are some of the fun experiences offered to students in 1st-8th grade.  Please check out the registration form HERE for details and dates.  The flyer can also be found under Students & Parents, Forms & LInks.
STEM Learning - Exciting Electronics!  This is an exhilarating, cutting-edge area of engineering!  Design, build and test various circuits and electronic projects -- no previous experience is necessary.  Explore how electricity is part of our daily lives in this thrilling, hands-on course provided through Afterschool Enrichment Solutions.  Classes begin April 12th, and are held on Thursdays in Parish Hall.  Please complete the registration form HERE, (use the class code FRA4.12.19) or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Creative Writing Club.  Expand and cultivate your creative writing skills -- let those adventuresome adjectives flow!  This club meets on Thursdays in the Reading Resource Room and is for 3rd-8th grades.  Please complete the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Holy Rosary Prayer Club.  Join us for a student-led Rosary at St. Francis church on Thursdays from 3:05 to 3:30 pm.  We'll gather on April 12th, May 3rd, and June 7th.  This is FREE and available to parents, students in all grades and friends.  Please check out the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Kidding Around Yoga.  Join Ms. SteinCruz and Ms. Helzer for seven sessions of after school yoga!  Both teachers are certified in KAY yoga for children ages 2-17.  This club meets on Mondays (grades K-4th -- FULL) and Tuesdays (grades 5-8th).  Please complete the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Rosary Bracelets.  Two sessions to choose from:  Monday, April 23rd or Wednesday, April 25th.  Please join Ms. Butzerin and create beautiful rosary bracelets in time for May, the month of Mary.  Price includes all materials needed - class is limited to 15.  Please check out the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Chess Club.  Chess Wizards is back and ready to exercise your SUPERPOWER BRAIN!  Join us for challenging lessons, tournaments, team activities ... beginners are welcome!  This club meets on Tuesdays in Parish Hall and is for K-8th grade.  Please complete the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.
Violin Lessons -- Beginner.  This 10-week program is for beginners, grades 2-5, starting on Thursday, March 22nd.   Instrument rental is through the Burien Music and Arts store.  We need a minimum of 5 students to get this program running.  Please check out the registration form HERE or under Students & Parents, Forms & Links.  If you have any questions please contact Monika Scoville
