Thank you for visiting my website! This year I am teaching sixth, seventh, and eighth grade science and seventh grade math. I am also the 7A Homeroom teacher.
I use Google Classroom to post assignments and projects, and to provide reference documents related to my students' assigned work. I use the website you are viewing now to post information of a more general nature, such as links to sites that students will find useful for the long term, course descriptions, science fair details, and some parent resources, such as links to useful and interesting websites and articles.
The middle school years are a remarkable time for students as they develop physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually, and spiritually. Students need support from parents and teachers during this time of change and growth. I am excited to help students learn more about themselves, their faith, and the world around them. One resource I have found helpful for parenting and teaching middle schoolers is the Association for Middle Level Education (AMLE). Here is one AMLE article you may find useful: “Developmental Characteristics of Young Adolescents”.
