The St. Francis of Assisi Annual School Campaign is part of a development program that includes fundraising, our tuition endowment, sponsorships, underwriting of events, and alumni relations. The Annual School Campaign has two parts: parent contributions and contributions from friends of STFOA.
The funds raised support operational expenses for the school such as instructional materials, new technology, text books, and classroom furniture. We are also able to offer student scholarships for those children whose families who are not able to cover the costs of tuition.
Each spring when you register your child for the following school year, we ask you to prayerfully consider your donation to the Annual School Campaign for that year. We ask you to also consider your financial situation and what you can give without it being a burden to your family.
If you have questions or need more information about the Annual School Campaign, please contact our Development Director, Gena Aiello, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 206-243-0775.
As of the close of the 2016-2017 school year, you have donated $38,323.46 to this fund, after expenses! The funds we raised have gone toward providing financial aid for students in need of assistance. Through your generosity, you are providing the high-quality, Christ-centered education to children who would not have been able to have this education.
We will have information about how much was raised during past Annual School Campaigns and what the donations funded, on this website shortly.
Q: What is the Annual School Campaign?
A: The Annual School Campaign is a yearly giving campaign that supports general operating expenses, facilities, financial aid, and continuously improving the learning opportunities for our students.
Q: Why give to the Annual School Campaign?
A: The St. Francis of Assisi Annual School Campaign is an essential source of funds for the school. Each year we ask all members of St. Francis of Assisi School community to prayerfully consider a gift to the Annual School Campaign so we can ensure that our students receive the best possible education.
Q: Why is the percentage of parent participation so important?
A: When we apply for grants as a non-profit institution, the percentage of our families participation is taken under consideration. The greater the participation, the greater chance we have of receiving grants. 27% of our families participated last year. Our goal is to achieve and maintain 100% participation.
Q: Why do we ask for contributions when families already pay tuition?
A: While tuition does cover a significant portion of the cost of a St. Francis of Assisi School education for each child, it doesn’t cover it all. There is a constant struggle between keeping our school affordable and paying the expenses necessary to operate our school.
Q: Is the Annual School Campaign the same as the Endowment fund?
A: No, the Annual School Campaign covers operating expenses and is used in its entirety each year. The Endowment Fund uses donations to add to its principal balance with a percentage of the interest earned returned to the school each year to support our financial aid program.
